Earlier this month, members of the Export Support Team at the Department for Business and Trade were invited to visit the DIRICKX Systems facility in Leeds, where they were hosted by key personnel including Regional Sales Manager for DIRICKX Systems, Ben Jenkins.
During their visit, they enjoyed a detailed demonstration of the expeditionary barrier systems to be exhibited by the UK Defence and Security Exports Organisation at MSPO 23 (the International Defence Industry Exhibition). One of the largest trade fairs dedicated to military and security equipment in Central and Eastern Europe, MSPO celebrates its 30th anniversary this year. During the four-day event - which takes place at Targi Kielce in Kielce, Poland, from 5-8 September - global defence industry leaders and security personnel come together to share knowledge and expertise, showcase the latest industry developments and view the range of new products on display from the 600-plus exhibitors.
Warrant Officer Class 2 Chris McGhee, who specialises in Construction, Logistics & Infrastructure, was among members of the Export Support Team hosted at the DIRICKX Systems’ Leeds facility.
Chris said, “Ben Jenkins - previously technical support manager for HESCO - is a very knowledgeable and experienced person. He told us about the work carried out by DIRICKX Systems and gave us an overview of the defensive barriers to be exhibited at MSPO 23. We were interested to see demonstrations of some of the company’s latest products and to hear more about the projects that they have been involved with in response to customer-based requests.”
A qualified military instructor with more than 30 years’ experience in the design, installation and maintenance of protective solutions and expeditionary barriers in hostile environments, Ben demonstrated some of the new earth-filled barrier systems currently being developed at DIRICKX Systems.
The company works closely with customers to redesign and optimise their products, constantly innovating and improving upon their existing range of defensive barriers in order to provide more reliable, more robust and more cost-effective solutions, to protect their clients against real-world threats.
